Sipchem plants 2030 trees in support of Saudi Green Initiative
Sipchem successfully concluded today its ‘Go Green’ campaign in collaboration with the Royal Commission for Jubail, in support of the Saudi Green Initiative.
As part of the campaign, 1240 trees were planted and 790 small trees were distributed as gifts among Sipchem employees – a total of 2030, honoring the sustainability objectives of Vision 2030
Sipchem CEO Eng. Abdullah S. Al-Saadoon inaugurated the ‘Go Green‘ campaign in the company’s Headquarters in Khobar in participation of Mr. Rushdi Al-Dulaijan, Vice President of Finance. Eng. Ibrahim Al-Rushoud, Vice President of Manufacturing, launched the campaign in Sipchem’s East Park complex in Jubail. Eng. Omar Bahobail, Vice President of shared Services, launched the campaign in Sipchem’s West Park complex in Jubail and Eng. Ahmed Al-khaldi, General Manager of Industrial Security launched the campaign in Al-Waha Elementary school. Lastly, Eng. Faisal Iskandarani, Senior Manager, R&D Operations, led the planting and distribution of trees in Manar Center.
The campaign attracted the participation of around 200 volunteers who contributed a total of more than 400 hours. In addition to the premises of Sipchem, trees were planted in different locations in the Jubail area as well as in schools in the Royal Commission’s districts and on Yanbu Street in Jalmouda neighborhood.
The campaign reflects Sipchem’s commitment to supporting local and international efforts to fight climate change and signifies its unshakeable commitment to adopting sustainable practices across our operations and minimizing the impact of our business on the environment.
